NAME THAT MOVIE!

Here we are: early-to-mid August. The Sunday brunch of Summer. Only 5 more minutes till Halloween and a couple more Zendaya movies till Xmas. Be merry and bright.

For the last round we attempted to stagger the publication of answers to allow a fresh take on the whole set without the influence of others' guesses. Of course, we didn't designate any specific amount of time and the whole approach was kinda vague at best, but mostly it relies too heavily on folks actually reading these long ass intros, and frankly we're just asking too much of everybody at that point. The whole purpose of this place is to chill (sometimes to complain, but mostly chill), and a good way to achieve that is to lighten up on the red tape. Just sit down and have fun dammit!

NAME THAT MOVIE!

How's it been out there? Workin' on your tan? Hittin' the arcades? Scorin' chicks? The season's swimming right by and we need details so we can live vicariously through your escapades! While we juggle the two extremes of the arctic air conditioning of the office and the greasy mist of the deep fryer, we need to know that y'all are out there ridin' the rides and sailin' the Orinoco flow.

And if you have a sec, see if you can name these movies. The last round was a minor scramble in the spirit of First Come First Serve -- wondering if we should go back to the days of publishing the comments all at once after some fixed amount of time. If you have any strong feelings either way on this, let us know. Otherwise, you, the wildcat, and every other person on that bus are gonna end up just like your friend.

Welcome back to the only game in town where the contestants don't plow into each other with dogmatic gatekeeping and political discourse. Seriously, it's no fun logging onto the Net anymore, so we value your patronage despite the hassle of a long commute. 

Last round turned into a real shindig with everyone contributing while remaining courteous and receptive to courtesy. (We're not Dead Poet's Society fans either. Is anybody?) Soon approaching is this year's Summer Theme, so before we paddle on down to Aintry to get the cars and go home, we wanna squeeze in one more round to hold your attention. Now you get to play the game.

Hope the weather's good wherever you are, and if you're celebrating something hopefully there's fun food. If not, here's a cause to clap: the last round felt very successful and actively participatory; not a total Betty but a vast improvement. 

Seriously though, thanks for showing up and letting us know you're out there (and not a bunch of bots); we don't even bribe you with prizes anymore, which is actually kinda nice now that it feels less like a commercial relationship - we've all experienced the entire Pretty Woman arc together! Let's face it, we all want the fairytale.
